So Levein takes it up the Gary, Heath also goes the other way, and Hughes wants to 'go out with a bang'!
Dark days indeed!

What are you on about our midfield is strong attack wise but weak defensively-we don't have a ball winner in the middle of the parklako42 said:no he has been getting service just not finishing. look at our midfiels its the strongest in the league. if that dont create next season then god help us.
Melton Fox said:How many times this season has a midfield maestro played a piercing ball along the ground, splitting the defense in 2, allowing Connelly a clear goal scoring opportunity? None.
Admittidly, if that were to happen, the useless fooker would either hit the crossbar, the post or the keeper. If it were to find the back of the net, it is 100% guaranteed that the keeper would get a touch somewhere
Why? OK he has had a good run recently, but he is still missing very VERY easy chances. He is running around and helping the midfield a lot to which he deserves credit.Joe_Fox said:Melton Fox said:How many times this season has a midfield maestro played a piercing ball along the ground, splitting the defense in 2, allowing Connelly a clear goal scoring opportunity? That's a bit harsh IMO.

Ultimatley he will be judged on what he does in front of goal and he is yet to prove that he is a natural goalscorer. I think he will though, if the midfield can provide the through balls for him to run on to. It will come, but at the minute, I still rate him as a useless fooker based on results achieved

Connolly has managed to get 13 this season with no consistent strike partner. The problem we have is not Connolly or the midfielder, but getting a second striker that can chip in with some goals. Before Sunday our joint second top goalscorers were Dublin, Nalis and SCOWCROFT!!!! IMO we need somebody else that can reach double figures for next year and make a partnership with Connolly!

don't know much about this young gun though.
Meanwhile, Levein has poured cold water on rumours linking him with Coventry City forward Gary McSheffrey.
