Thats it I cannot stand it anymore.I'm retiring to General Chat...I know when I'm beat.
I agree, the sodding needles stuck. No more on this topic, please until the end of the season.:015: :015: :015: :015: :015:

Re-assess at the end of the season, when there is plenty of time to do it properly, unless of course we look in real danger of relegation.

As for wether we are danger of relegation now I do not believe we are yet, as the season is so volatile. Lets face it when we first played Burnley 5 weeks ago they were 1 point above us, 1 month later and they had moved into the top 6.

He's had a year though!

He has had nine months of football and 2 transfer windows. Do you really expect us in that time to replace a bunch of arthritic ex Prem players with a young squad and be cruising in the play off places? That takes time

We really don't need to improve by much to beat the majority of sh1tty teams in this division easily. We dominated against Watford who are 3rd and we were the better side at Vicarage Rd.

I'm saying give him til christmas, but a worry for me is, if god forbid we do get drawn into a relegation battle, CL has never had any experience of having to scrap for survival, in this or any division. And if he just keeps playing his namby pamby football when we are fighting for survival we can kiss it goodbye. He needs to grow a pair I think.

So you bring in a manager that has lots of experience of relegation battles? That just means he is a shite manager!

cue Dave "Harry" Bassett... :icon_lol:

no more on this topic please...... dull, dull, dull..... :015:

Not lots, but some experience of having to actually battle. I don't think CL has the balls to say, we need a win to stay up and throw out a team with attack on their minds. If we needed a win to stay up he'd probably play 6 defenders so we didn't lose!

what the **** are you going on about, this is a fans forum for fans to share their views, just because it comes from someone who has friends out of here you can't listen to it, this time last year everyone was resigning to losin that very slim chance that we coud make the play-offs and said that next season meanin this one we would be able to make the play-offs at least, now we have no chance of makin them this year and will be lucky to stay in the division and everyone is happy, u fukkin benders. 5 or 6 years ago we were in bloody europe, now we cant beat crewe!! we must improve greatly by xmas or Levein out will be posted everyday until he has gone, so u can shuv waitin till the end of the season up ya arse! if we are not a prem club then we are at least top 6 championship but play like a conference team. If Levein wants to keep his job, either sign Derek Riordan with the connolly money, or get neil mellor on loan or anyone who has banged a few goals in, in the prem

Agreed, share our views, but it's the same thing every day.

Mind the language, Nothing wrong with having an opinion Matt. Free speach and all that, but if you care to look in the archives this subject has come up so many times in many guises. Quite frankly it is all getting rather tedious. :icon_roll

No they weren't.

Your post has so many wholes, I can't be arsed pointing them out. If you think replacing a team of over the hill ex Prem players with a team of youngsters is easy, you're off your head.

You want to know how far we've come in the last year? Mickey Adams has just signed 34-year-old, perma-crocked Millwall reserve Don Hutchinson, just the kind of player he was signing left, right and centre for us. CL has shipped out the deadweights brought in under MA, and brought in young blood that has a future in the game and in our team.

Not only has he brought down the wage bill down massively, he has brought down the average age of the squad to a point where we actually have something to build on, rather than is here for one last payday. Yes the real teambuilding work is ongoing, but the amount of work that has been covered is fantastic. CL is part of a team that is securing the financial and footballing future of our club, and deserves respect for it.

i.e., I shall sqweem and sqweem and stamp my feet until I get what I want.

fair enough leveins cleared out the dead wood and made some good signings and the team has far more potential than it did under adams - however levein isnt realising that potential, its not as if hes the only manager in the league trying to gel a lot of new players together - look at leeds, think they brought in 10 or 11 over the summer as well. i dont for a minute suggest, on current form, levein should be kicked out straight away however if were still not performing better in another 3-4 months the board will really have to take a look at where the club is going, as i said on another thread it doesnt take miracles to be a decent team in this division

difference is leeds can afford to buy players like cresswell. whereas we get devries for the spare change down the back of craig's sofa. a couple of decent goalscorers makes a great difference and we can't afford that. last season we didnt even have a couple of shite forwards, just connolly up front trying to make up a lack of goals from elsewhere. the only major issues i have with levein is offering wilcox and dublin new contracts in the summer, he fortunately has realised his wrongs with wilcox and hopefully dublins taxi will arrive soon

Just as there is a major over reaction to every defeat or draw I'm sure there will be one after this victory, however, I hope that the boys performance today will at least put people's opinions in perspective.

Stick with what CL is doing, I've no doubt that we'll have plenty more poor performances over the next few months but the general trend is one of improvement and that is all we can ask for.

As stated earlier in this thread, 10-12th this season and build for next.
