That was our second half yesterday....Couldn't bring myself to write about it after the match as I decided to get absolutely shite faced instead.

As soon as Palace turned up the heat, we were completely overrun - and what worries me is that we look very inexperienced and light-weight to deal with a relegation battle. We are most certainly not too good to go down and the match at Sheffield Wednesday is now a 'must-win' match.

Good suggestion BG, and I agree with HF we really need somebody in that engine room that is going to add steel to the side, we need a leader and a battler. However Bircham is a QPR fan so I would be surprised if he left his boyhood heroes to join a side on the edge of the relegation places.

FFS we need strikers. We have created more chances than any team in the league and our goals against column is very respectable. Goals win games folks and we have created loads of chances....

We will be lucky to get 1 maybe 2 players. IMO they need to be strikers. Any talk of other players is futile.

I guess most of them are now. I think lightweight is a good description. We get outfought and outmuscled too easily and I think we are mentally weak. I think this sqaud is going to find it very hard to change much, its gone too far and whatever confidence they had has been shot. I include CL in that, he should be motivating, driving, berating, them to achieve more. I just don't see that. He must care a great deal, he is am intelligent bloke and probably a better coach than we have yet seen, perhaps if he showed he cared a bit more it might light a few fires in a few belly's. Who knows/ I am really a bit pissed of by all of this. We shouldnt have come to this, no matter how bad things were before, we shouldnt have come to this. Whoever's fault it is FECKING SORT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Spot on.

Whatever budget is available should be spent on getting in someone who can score goals. If we'd had a decent goalscorer in the team this season we'd be in the top half.
It seems that CL's judgement of strikers is not good. When Connolly left he should have brought in a goalscorer, Hume and Hammond are not the answer.

But unfortunately goalscorers don't grow on trees, if there's an experienced player available who will guarantee goals and is within our budget half the clubs in the league will be after him - and how many players will want to join a relegation battle?

Getting a younger player on loan from a Premiership club could be the answer, but that's always going to be a gamble.

I think we should look at an experienced out of favour striker from a Premiership club. There must be some kicking about who have scored goals in this division.

Although I heard a strong rumour today that if the money gets approval we want Steven Thompson from Rangers.
