It's not handball of it's not deliberate. If his arm was in an unnatural position it could be deemed to be deliberate, but it wasn't.

Yes is matters. That's what the handball rule is - a deliberate handball. Whether his hand is away from his body or not has nothing to do with it. If it's accidental it's not a free-kick/penalty.

Big talking point on Soccer Saturday today was how many decisions refs have got wrong with Penalty decisions, in particular about people diving / not diving and Handballs that have & haven't been given. Can't help but wonder if the ref has watched the programme this morning and been influenced in some way??
