When we go through these runs there’s always a tendency to clamour for changes and then for then to be an uproar that the replacements picked are not actually very good. As if we have a bench full of world class players who we didn’t pick on Saturday.

not saying this is right though, choosing to play Ndidi and Amartey at the back against Liverpool is just writing the game off, surely. And two international centre halves on the bench who are also no good. what a crazy season this is.

It's worth pointing out that Amartey and Ndidi were the central defensive pairing the last time we kept a clean sheet - against Liverpool.

That was also the last PL game both players were available due to the AFCON. So maybe it's BRs preferred pairing at the moment.
