Luton Loan Move For Logan
Posted on: Thu 21 Aug 2008
Conrad Logan has joined League Two outfit Luton Town on loan until the January 10, 2009 (subject to Football League approval).

The 22-year-old goalkeeper has found himself behind Paul Henderson and on-loan shotstopper David Martin in the pecking order this season.

Therefore, he has been allowed to temporarily leave by manager Nigel Pearson in an attempt to gain further first-team experience.

Logan spent the whole of last season on loan at Stockport County, making 38 appearances and helping them defeat Rochdale 3-2 in the League Two Play-Off Final at Wembley.

Pearson said: "Conrad wants to play first-team football and, with two other good goalkeepers here, I felt it would be best for both parties if he went out on loan and gained further experience."

Brought over from his native Ireland after being spotted by a scout playing for Swilly Rovers in 2000, Logan went on to sign pro-forms at the Walkers Stadium in 2003 and then put pen-to-paper on a new contract keeping him here until 2010.

And just to cheer us all up....

Meanwhile, the club can confirm that former England international left-back Chris Powell is currently training with the first-team squad.

not sure about any of this TBH :icon_conf:icon_conf:icon_conf:icon_conf

logan is wank so surely you cant be unsure about that?

as for powell, he's a left back whose spent his career playing at a good level and played for england when he was about 33 and still got in the charlton team last year, personnaly i'd welcome him with open arms

Thank you for belaying those deep thoughts of yours Newts, when you are sure maybe you'd like to enlighten us. :102::icon_lol:

not happy or sad that Logan has gone out on loan, all it say's to me is,the lad from loop want to play (which is fair enough ) so they had too move him (logan)

Easy, I detect Newts is a deeply troubled man over all this.:icon_wink

Not fair off the mark RS :icon_wink

I agree with homers post below

Well we've got one training with us right now

A withered saggy old one, at that

IMO he's too old for Div 1 ,if he wants to play try non-league that should suit his level

Well, while he's on trial, he'll be tested against Gradel presumably - which should be a reasonable test...

As long as Max doesn't pass him for the umpteen time & CP hacks him down putting him on the injured list for a spell :bang:

I'm not opposed to giving Powell a trial. Bournemouth didn't want him, but sad to say, maybe Bournemouth's left back situation is currently better than ours.
