Don't know whether to laugh or cry with our batting. We were 6-3 and 62-4 with our top 3 being
Cobb 0
New 1
Du Toit 0

Then a 330 run partnership at about 5 an over for James Taylor and Shiv Thakor rescued the day, declared on 446/6. Taylor hit 237, his third double ton in three years and Thakor hit a first-class ton on debut.

These matches really shouldn't count as first class.

The top end batsmen haven't played a first class innings yet this year.

Match drawn with the uni 159-6 chasing loads. I'm sure we could have taken another hour of play to finish it off but obviously not that bothered about the win!

Loughborough were in big trouble but Taylor got a ton for them this afternoon.

Some easy runs for Du Toit and New this morning
