All I would ad to Boc's report is that while Hume and Fryatt were poor at holding the ball in the first half, they were being fed scraps by our midfield - too many high balls & too many of White-Boots' fancy (but inaccurate) flicks volleys and reverse passes. They both livened up after the break, and Matty created an open goal for the Aussie liability on his own.

An alternative interpretation might be that the front two were half-asleep and unable to capitalise on what was being provided for them. I felt that the improvement after half-time might have been caused byt them being told at half-time that they had 15 minutes left and they didn't want to finish the game without making their shirts a little bit smelly. RK needs to get to grips with the pair of them.

I've just learned that it had been intentded to play Kenton and PaddyMc together for the whole 90 last night and to give McAuley the whole game at Stockport. Kenton reported a tight hamstring at half-time however and was taken off as a precautionary measure. So the "no subs in the first 60 unless there's an injury did happen" - I had been surprised when the change was made as the bloke I heard it from is normally reliable.

Aye, you did. But I felt that you were tending to blame the service more than the receivers and I thought it was the other way round. I've no real argument with the way you saw it though.

Thanks for the views and news Boc and Silkman. Very much appreciated.

As mentioned before these games are more important for fitness levels than anything. I'm sure Fryatt and Hume will be motivated in 2 weeks time.
