Unless the contents of the PM is now very different from the one that I received a couple of days ago, it seems that there are a lot of people barking up a very wrong tree.
From what I am hearing DMcK is not at all sorry to be leaving the job, freeing up his time to pursue a role elsewhere that will be more to his liking. It seems that the job he was being asked to do was not quite what he expected it to be. You might even replace the word 'quite' in that last sentence with the phrase 'at all'. Even if nobody else believed the Mercury stories of there being £25M to spend, he seems to have done - and perhaps thought he was going to be the bloke to spend it all.
I'm not going to speculate about the discussions that took place but I am assured that this was the root of the problem. Nor am I going to speculate how Fucillo came to be involved because I just don't know. It is very clear though that MM is very much the man in charge and that he is retaining the right to do as much of the running of the football club as he feels is necessary.
