With all this talk of GM being the devil incarnate, I think the attention should be directed at the real culprit in the shambles that is our once great club.

MM has done nothing here except increase our debts to dangerously high levels and turn us into a laughing stock of a club.

He is the poison. Not Kelly or Worthington or MacKay or Allen or Megson. Or the many and varied menagerie of players that have made a few quid off the crazy old Serb.

He came in when we were gently plodding downwards and he's simply put his foot on the accelerator.

The list of dumbass things that have been his responsibility over the last few months is laughably long. I think the man is a charlatan and a disgrace. It is he who we should be directing our venom at.

He is tolerated because there is perceived to be no alternative. What a sorry place to be. I'd rather he went now and we faced the consequences than we were left to sink even further.

Feck Off Mandaric!

And that was acceptable too was it? Administration and League 1 were allegedly with Joey, just around the corner.

There are not many people willing to be the backing to a seriously under-performing football club, ask Southampton and Covscum for details.

We may be no further forward in terms of position, and going through managers quickly, but there is at least opportunity now. The club was dying on its arse before.

We all knew it would be folly and madness with Mandy in charge, but is it really worse than before?

Steady on now. Plenty of time to get round to hating Mandaric - for the moment can we just concentrate on the Ginger Mourinho?

Mandy will start to get the bird if we wheel out Reid, Roeder or Gregory as GM's replacement...

I really can't see how Mandaric can get any abuse for this situation?

If you write down a list of good decisions he's made on one side of a piece of paper and a list of the bad decisions on the other side, I think the reality of the last few months will become clear.

The main problem with him is that he's so hands-on. Most loony owners at least have the sense to appoint somebody competant to run the club on a day-to-day basis. He does it all himself with 'yes man' TNBD chauffeuring him around.

I truly believe that MM hasn't got a clue what he's doing. The evidence for this point on view gets stronger by the day.

I believe that MM's greatest problem is that he tries to please too much. He takes too much notice of fans who know ****-all about ****-all. He has already proved that he knows how to run a football club and there is no reason why he couldn't successfully run another one. If he had just got on with running this one instead of pandering to the views of the masses, we would have been sitting here with a manager of his choice and be part way on the road to recovery. Instead we have this!

Would that hae been Warnock or Reid or Dowie?

Brown Nose has surpassed even himself in talking absolute rubbish. To describe Manderic as 'poison' is absoutely sickening. The man has thrown vast amounts of time and effort into the club and its debts are his direct repsonsibility - it will come out of his pocket. So he is paying for the privilage of working his butt off. He has made mistakes, but he has given managers the green light to bring in better quality players. Several are better (& there are more to come in, thanks to MM's money) - the manager has simply failed to get the best out of the playing staff. This is where the problem lies. Another poster said MM likes to please/to be loved. I think that is much more accurate - he is no 'charlatan' as BN also disgracefully says. He wants to do well, and yes - he wants to be appreciated (what's wrong with that?). Which is why he was so mad at the 'Martin Allen' chants. So what if he's got a bit of an ego - its part of what's helped to make him succesfull whilst you (BN) are just a civil servant. You may be putting in £500 a year as a season ticket holder, Milan Manderic is putting in £9m. I know which of the two of you I'd rather have 'feck off' as you so elequently put it - and that would be YOU. MM's next critical job looks like having to dismiss Megson or allow Bolton to come in and talk to him. There are not many candidates around, but it looks like either Grayson or Ince to me. Taggart would be a popular choice, but I don't think he is ready for it yet. Maybe next time.

To play devil's advocate he's also proven that he doesn't know how to run a football club at other club's he's owned.

Just to clarify Warnock didn't want the job as he didn't want to work with MM.

I spoke to MM on the train on the way to Charlton. This was just after the "One Martin Allen" chant at F!"£$t that had upset him so much. I talked to him about the way that City fans were feeling and told him that I had not been particularly surprised by the chant and that he should ignore it rather than drawing attention to it.

I went on to say that I thought he was taking too much notice of the fans - he said that he wanted them to be part of the club. I said that we could be part of the club but that it was his job to make the decisions - the fans can't even decide between themselves on any issue, no matter how important or unimportant.

While he was thinking about that, I quickly said that he should have had the manager of his choice at the start of the season and then we would not be in the position of already being on our second of the season. He chuckled at that and asked me who was his choice of manager - I told him - he said that the fans would never have allowed it and said that he had had many letters and emails saying that he should not appoint this person - he indicated a pile about 2 inches high. I t was clear that this bloke was the manager that he had wanted.

At the moment the tail is wagging the dog. The dog needs to start taking the decisions if we are to make any progress.

Unless you are of the opinion that he got lucky with Portsmouth through the availability and appointment of Harry.

I am inclined to agree that he should have gone with his choice of Manager, as much as I dislike said person...

I know, but the point was he was Milan's choice rather than the majority of the fans choice.

makes no difference if said person wasn't interested due to outside interference on team/players.
