still no CB role for Armartey, has Shakey seen something in training that suggests he is not suitable for the position (or that Fuchs is a better option)?

Perhaps he saw a turd on his bonnet.

No, I don't get it either. I'm not overly surprised though. As much as I would have liked to have seen Amartey at CB (more so given he was lauded so for his performance there at AFCON - indeed, named in the 'team of the tournament') I have to accept that maybe Shakespeare sees more of the players than I do.

It's hard to understand how Amartey is not in either at CB - his international position - or midfield ahead of King.

At the moment he's only playing as a back up RB if Simpson is hurt and IMO that's his weakest position of the 3.

Perhaps Shakey is just trying to hold the changing room together.

Maybe. As a related aside, I read somewhere that Fuch's throws often end up giving away possession. Or was it that we, as a team, give away possession from throws more than any other team in the Prem.

More than likely the second.

We have been terrible at them for years.

If you take a long throw-in you're less likely to keep possession, just like you are if you play a long pass. But on the occasions you do get possession, you're more likely to score.

I have a feeling we are going to get shat on.

Man City are still shite people. They still have a mug in goal, no full backs and lazy feckers in central midfield. And they're managed by a lunatic.

If we want to turn it on today, no reason whatsoever why we can't win.

Think they could put a few past us today with our defence, but back us to score too

Think Mahrez will turn up today and put in a big performance
