I'm just saying that they seem to have pushed out a story about Nigel's contract just after Milan appears to have a possible upcoming unexpected outlay with regard to the HMRC case against him.
Even if he wins the Court/Solicitor costs will not be small. It all has an impact at what he puts into City's coffers, so his priority is to keep Nigel and by this story coming out shows us fans that Nigel's going nowhere.
Trouble is what funds will be available for players, perhaps as mentioned elsewhere we may have to sell Gradel to provide funds for buying other player(s)
