Terrific player. I remember he let the Forest goalie Smith walk the the ball into the net at the start of the replay, after it had been abandoned at 1-0 after Clarke had a heart attack at half-time. Fortunately we went on to win 3-2. We could not keep him because Sunderland wanted about £10million and at the time we had a bag of marbles and a half-eaten pack of Walkers crisps. Great guy. No age to be taken away.Thoughts with his family.
 
Absolutely gutted by this news. As said on here already he was amazing for us and don't think there was a single city fan who wasn't gutted when we couldn't secure his services on a permanent basis. RIP
 
So young. Really sad news. RIP.

Some wonderful performances for us, I thought he'd definitely sign and keep us up that season. I was gutted when we didn't keep him.

Always remembered for the league cup run, a big factor in helping us nearly pulling off a hell of a shock at Stamford Bridge. A proud night that even though we lost at the end.
