A few months ago I would've been gutted to see Stearman, Mattock, Hume leaving us; I now don't give a flying feck, I'd rather be gone of these so called, "good players." Lets be honest, rarely do you see loyalty in Football, its all to do with ££££ and convienance of location.

The only player I would be gutted to see leave is Kisnorbo, but he has a fecked up leg so he will be paid sitting on the sidelines till January.

I would not be sad to see any of the c*nts leave, they have all "contributed" to our demise and whilst as individuals there are some talented footballers, as a collective they are one of the most embarrassing and piss poor "teams" to grace the championship.

Well 2 players have left already and i think another 6 more to go, i'm pretty happy with it, least Pearson gets a chance to bring in his own players, the Appointment of Pearson no doubt made some of the players want to leave but goodluck to pearson to make the right bids on the right players,

Last summer we have something like 14+ come in and 2-3 leave

whats going to happen this pre-season so far 2 gone!

I'm not.

We've had a mass change of squad every summer for about five years now, it's no way to build a successful team, and played a big part in our relegation.

It's no coincidence that our best performing players last season were the ones who had been here for a while - since before MM took over.
And if players leave, these will be the ones most likely to go.

So next season's squad will consist of our worst players from last season, plus new players. We won't be able to attract quality players from the top two divisions, they won't want to drop down. So we'll end up buying from lower divisions, or getting squad players from the top two divisions, maybe on loan.

We should be doing everything possible to persuade our better players from last season to stay, and built the team around them, rather than, yet again, trying to build a new team from scratch.

I hope Pearson has a good knowledge of the type of players we'll now be able to sign, so we don't make the mistakes of last summer. Assuming he's the one who will be doing the buying.

Defence having the guts ripped out of ut and our best Striker gone..I'm over the moon. Can't say I'm at all surprised though

therell be no-one left this time next week at this rate, funny how theyre all going since pearson was named as manager

Do you think uncle milan has hung onto them until the new manager is in place so that he has another fall guy if it all goes wrong?

There will be...Hayles,N'Gotty,Kishishev,Fryatt,Wesolowski,Logan,Dj Campbell....basically the ones you can't give away

Bids in for Stearman, Mattock & McCauley from back 4.

Other bids in including for Hume. Agents getting into the mix.

Looks like we will be left with all the players we don't want!

This is from a credible source who I will not name.

Slightly disappointing that those players who got us into the mess don't want to help us out of it! Probably expected and no real surprise.

Exactly right Jeff. This was the big worry which is now becoming a reality.

I can see us struggling next season. The clubs with the most settled squads will prevail. With all this unrest and change it spells another season like last IMO.

I don't expect Mattock to leave until MON returns from TV duty at the Euros. It galls me that we will only raise say £5-6 million by selling practically our entire first team from last season and Cardiff sell a youth teamer for the same amount!

On slightly different tack, couldn't have asked for a worst opening fixture. A club full of belief after promotion against a so called scalp in us with us in a spin. Only one outcome (Remember when people were saying Blackpool at home was a perfect first fixture last year and see what happened there!)

Or Bolton at home in their first Premiership fixture - just look at us now!

I agree the smart money will be on a MK Dons away win.

I also see our odds for promotion lengthening by the end of August. The bookies say that there is always significant money placed on City in close season, but my take on what is going on is that we are going to struggle to achieve much. I fully realise that we haven't yet seen who will be coming in, but I can't believe they will be of equivalent standard and once Mattock has gone, I see very little quality left even to compete in the Third Division.

Well said mate... Whilst I agree that a 'mass' exodus may not be very helpful an exodus is certainly what is needed. We were completely crap as a team and as a aquad last season. A good shake up is exactly what must happen. We don't need a Marin Allen revolving door style revolution but we ceratinly need to get rid of quite a few and bring in some new blood.

I don't think the Hume and Stearman offers "just happened" as they had to have talks with the other club and that was after the offer came in which had to be accepted and I bet neither club offered enough for MM to accept straight away. They must have had medicals etc. as well. I don't think that all this happened since the weekend.

BUT how many others are in a position where only a part of the above has happened and the rest is yet to happen i.e. MM has offers that he hasn't accepted yet OR he has and the player doesn't want to go or wants more money from the buying club.

So although I am not overjoyed at an ex Wednesday player being our manager (I have avoided Wednesday fans since Friday) I do not think the new manager would have made any difference unless it was a real turn up for the books like Paul Ince.

Anyway good riddance to them and ALL the others that will go in the next month or so - some of which I will be more than happy to go (most of them) than some of the others.

We must get behind the ones that do come and those that stay as well and not blame them for past errors

Well said Motown. The reason that these players are now leaving is because all clubs virtually shut down on the transfer front (except the big ones) over the holiday month. We are now experiencing what we have done for the last 125 odd years, we used to cherry pick players from teams below us. Just like NP said when he was interviewed "we are were we are, live with it". I personally believe that the club has been such a mess behind the scenes that many of those players would probably have legged it anyway. If your workplace had been going down the pan for years and you had the chance to move to a firm that was "stable" or a better place to work wouldn't you move? This loyalty tag really makes me smile, none of us are loyal. If someone offers you more to work somewhere else do you turn it down?
On the flip side, hopefully some of those going may be the ones that are negative anyway. Word has it that Hume wasn't such a good influence behind the scenes. So perhaps the new man will have cleaned the "cancer" out of the club by the time we start the new season. Lets hope so. Because quite honestly I didn't see too many of those that are going busting a gut for most of last season.
I have watched NP being interviewed and (we are yet to see what the team performs like) but he seems to be level headed and doesn't give the impression that he will suffer fools. I remember when Brian Little took over years ago, he brought some discipline to the playing side and that was the start of the good times finally ending in MON. Lets hope NP does the same.
If we start well next season all of these so-called Judas's will be a distant memory....but lets just move on.
