if going by train its Spoons or Walkabout. if by car we usually pop into the counting house after i've finally wandered down the road through the shithole that is byker to somewhere where i can be picked up on route. if i'm there early enough i get to swan and rushes

:018: If you are driving in you shouldn't be drinking.

Which is why I ony have one, which is also why I can't be bothered to walk for miles just for the sake of a pint (or 2 if I have shandy).

Oh and Lazzer, once you've sorted the pre-match out, could you start the ball rolling on the half-time problems. Perhaps bottles as at Cov instead of pints :icon_wink

Or for the twats to chuck at everyone a la Stoke.

The Rainbow and Dove is pretty close:icon_wink

I would have thought it was one down granby street or maybe the Marquis of wellington. As far as I am aware there aren't too many home fans only pubs nears the station.

If we get to the game in time for a pint before kickoff, we'll have one on the concourse.
The 1884 is on the opposite side to the direction we come from.

Afte the match we go in the 1884 for a couple, before bimbling into town.

Prematch used to be the Hero, but it got just too packed, now start off at O'Neill's.

I am fascinated by the word "bimbling". I could understand walking into town, busing into town or even driving into town but how exactly does one "bimble"?

I didn't have much time for a pre-match routine yesterday. I was still in London at 1:15. Arrived in Leicester at 2:29, made my way to the stadium, watched the match, made my way back to the station and was gone at 5:57.

I understand that at least two of our number caught the 5:16 train yesterday - they obviously don't sit at the back of the Kop.

It took you five minutes to get to your seat, what with all that baggage hanging off your shoulder, you were a menace to people who had got to their seat early.......

... especially the woman in the stripey cardigan (RowHH, Seat134) who got a good clonk on the back of the head from the sharp edge of my laptop.

I know, she thought it was something else.....:icon_eek:

For those who are not familiar with the woman in Row HH, Seat 134 I've found a perfect match for her cardigan:
