Just to add that it was apparently announced on Five Live at around 10.00 - the same time the official site was posting "Free Crewe tickets up for grabs"

Cheers for the memories Matty, not only on the pitch but also on it and in particular the funny Sundays when you used to be drinking and smoking in a pub and your dad was trying to stop you!

To be honest its a bit of a joke now, announced 2 hours ago to the public even though reliable sources said it was gonna happen since last week.

Youd think they have a press release and quotes etc ready to be published on tinternet after 4 or 5 days

No the club did announce it, it's just the inept tosser in charge of the web pages hasn't bothered updating the page and is far too busy trying to get signed shirts sold for £30.

Surely that means that given the cost of the printing you should be able to buy a normal shirt for somewhere in the region of £18-£19?

Have contributed my disgust! Apart from anything else, it gives the impression that the club do not care! And as others have said, it is not the first time. I expect to get an impartial match report from Bill Anderson before I get a reply from Jon Sanders, so I won't hold my breath!

Just like to say thanks a lot Matty for all the memories, although you might not have played much the last couple of seasons, you still led us to winning the league cup, with a goal in the semi finals, as well as two in the final.

Matty, has retiered and as such has deamed him self unfit to play professional football again. ok he will get paid for the rest of the season and the club will claim that pay on the insurance but matty has still sacrified himself for the good of the club.
