Mattock has a fantastic pedigree, England at every age inc U21 at 17/18 (picked by one of Eng best left backs..who may know what the job needs)

Yes he's looked ok

It's not what we get for him now, its the add ons 8-10 million if he continues to progress.

Remember he's been playing with crap players under a really crap manager.

Problem with keeping him is probably going to be the fact he wants out (or his agent wants him out), no one seems to consider that a season in the 3rd tier might help him develop.

I guess he'll go but MM will hold out for more than the £3.5m that was previously offered.

As you say, a season in the 3rd tier with hopefully the next one in the 2nd could help him!
