I've just been looking at the threads from when Lambert was rumoured to be coming here to replace Holloway. He didn't have much support...

If we can't get someone like Dave Penney or Mike Newell, we have to stick with Ollie rather than bringing in proven utterly shite managers like Paul Lambert.

What an awful appointment if so....might as well go down the Newell route if Lambert's your benchmark.

But possibly Lambert at the time might have been too soon and he might have failed.
