IMO MDV is not the answer to our problems, he was part of the problems last season, how people forget, however I do believe that in the summer Kelly needed to bring a striker in who was experienced and added a new dimension to the team, a player with a physical presence and experienced at this level, somebody who could take the burden off the likes of Fryatt and Hume, and provide a much needed variation in terms of options.

We have to bring somebody in and quick, O'Grady has a lot to learn and IMO is not ready for an extended run in the first team, whilst we desperately need an alternative to the Hume and Fryatt partnership. Whether the funds or that type of player are still available remains to be seen. But unless we can find a way to bring somebody in to allow us to 'Mix it up' then we will continue to flounder in the lower half of the table.

He's ok to bring on in the last 20min. but that's about all. Never could see him being effective over 90min. No sure about MDV being anymore effective over 90min either. With no money to play with we are going to have to dig up a gem in the lower leagues somewhere.
 
I dont think anyone in the lower leagues will do the job, not one of our four strikers have enough experience to be sucessful in this league, without a player who we know can do the business.

As far as a new striker goes, I think we can forget the idea. Hume and Fryatt are okay, and our midfield is woeful. If we are to get anyone in over january it must be a midfielder.

He is cheaper than, is quicker than, and shows more effort and committment than MDV. ;) In terms of goals clearly he is second best. ;)
 
Lets get mdv back he is our most proven goalscorer in the whole ****ing squad better than the current pile of shite
 
Say what you like, he'd be better than both Hume and Fryatt at the moment.

We are right up to our necks in it together!

whats mdv score ratio compared to hume and who has more experience and height.

fryatt needs someone experience and bigger to play alongside him and mdv is very good at holding up the ball. scores occasionally too.
 
have sen o grady and doesnt look anything special to me and I havent seen o grady score either. MDV is better then o grady in technical ability I know why o grady has more brownie points.
