Great memories!

I'm not sure that the terracing on the Popular side became seating in the 'early 1970s'. I remember ending up in the away section when Leeds played us in 1974. That was certainly an experience! They came to us with an unbeaten run of 20 or so games. We were 2-0 up within 20 minutes (Worthungton, and a great goal by the Birch). It finished 2-2.

I remember this happening to me and a mate when we played Liverpool in a night match sometime in the eighties, ended 3-3 i think. Good laugh, can't remember who scored for us or who was in the Liverpool side.

apart from the introdution of all seating and the replacement of the main stand the ground changed very little from the years you mention.
