Please, please put my mind at rest and confirm that we are NOT going to appoint that twat Holloway is our next manager.......please !!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know where this rumour has come from. I have read the NOTW article but I believe it's someone having a blind stab in the dark. MN has not spurned our interest neither have the Luton board, in fact they have commented very favourably on our interest which is a sign that it's a foregone conclusion.

Let's see it all unfold over the next few days - keep your nerve folks it's a difficult time for our fans and to be honest if it was'nt MN then surely Kelly is a cert..........after yesterdays result.

I hope this rumour is not true. I cannot see the point in appointing Holloway. If we cannot get Newell or afford the compensation, then due to the fact that Kelly & Stowell have done so well, i'd keep them on until the end of the season.

Please Please TD, NO Holloway.

Not sounding as confident about MN as you have been though RN.

On RL today they said that there were rumours that Martin Allen had resigned from Brentford and could be our next manager. Anyone know if there is any truth to that?

I heard that too. Though there is nothing to confirm that Allen has resigned on the Brentford or Skysports websites.

I am still confident that MN will come in, nothing has changed there.
The only thing that affects the situation is the success of Rob Kelly. This winning run will make the board think, do we keep what we have and avoid compensation etc? which is a bit of common sense prevailing for a change.

Mike Newell will join us it's just when. And when he does Rob Kelly will be part of the new organisation in his normal coaching role.

Oh. This rumour wasn't just a horrible dream then.

What worries me more than the NOTW report is the fact that a lot of QPR fans seem to be convinced he's coming here as well.

Yeah but alot of Burnly fans where convinced Cotterill was coming here, and alot of Luton fans are convinved Newell is coming here, we'll just have to wait and see

this is actually what Newell has said:

Newell admits to Leicester talks
By Chris Bevan and Sarah Holt

Luton are keen for Newell to stay at the club
Luton manager Mike Newell has admitted having talks with Leicester about their vacant manager's job - but says they have yet to offer him the positon.

Newell told BBC Sport: "Leicester approached Luton and asked to speak to me which they have done.

"There is no situation. I have not been offered the job. Unless that happens I have got nothing to think about.

"If they did I would have to think about it but I am happy here and enjoying the job."

Leicester chairman Jim McCahill told BBC Sport that the Foxes are still "some way" from finding a replacement for sacked manager Craig Levein.

Burnley boss Steve Cotterill has turned down an approach from Leicester while Preston did likewise when their manager Billy Davies was targeted.

Notts County manager Gudjon Thordarson, QPR boss Ian Holloway have all been linked with the post, as well as Newell.

Newell is the latest name to be considered for the post but insists that Luton are reluctant to let him go.

He said: "The Luton chairman wants me to stay and I'm not considering going yet until something comes up that I would consider leaving for.

McCahill has also indicated that caretaker boss Rob Kelly will continue at the helm for the remainder of the season.

He said: "We mustn't forget Rob Kelly is doing a good job.

"We've not ruled him out continuing to the end of the season with extra support from an experienced coach or manager.

From the BBC

If we continue to pick points up it makes sense to keep Kelly until the end of the season.

If we get 4pts + from the Brighton and Derby game then i think you have to stick with him till the end of the season

totaly agree

but think they will move on it ,so not to lose him to bigger fish

A chap on the 6 o 6 phone in seemed to have a small amount of inside info and was practically resigned to the fact that Mike Newell will be installed as Leicester manager this week. IMO we should give Rob Kelly the next two games and see if he 'takes' to the job more.

On another forum, a Brentford fan said the rumour was expect Martin Allen at a press conference on Monday for LCFC's new manager.

Had a text from a mate at QPR to say Holloway resigned this lunchtime.
Let us pray this rumour is totally untrue.......
