SGE admitted during his first press conference in Sweden that former Manchester City, Everton and England left-back Michael Ball is on trial with the club.
Ball is also rumoured to be part of the squad of 24 for the first few games in Eriksson's home country.

Despite Ball's injury record and the fact that he hasn't played regular, competitive football in two years, Sven wants to give the guy a chance.

It seems to me that the Michael Ball deal is the only one that people feel sure will go through. The same people are hopeful on Maynard and I see that there is some alleged development on that.
