Development Squad midfielder Michael Cain has linked up with Sky Bet League 1 side Walsall on a one-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old, who made his first team debut for Leicester City in the League Cup earlier this season, has been a key figure for the Under-21s group and could make his Walsall debut as early as Tuesday when they travel to Crawley Town.

Cain is a highly creative presence in the centre of midfield, with goals in his game and an exceptional ability from set play scenarios.

Last season the youngster scored eight goals for the Development Squad, building on his 2012/13 Academy Player of the Year award and a useful loan spell at Mansfield that saw him make his Football League debut.

Cain joins a Saddlers side currently fighting to get out of the League 1 drop zone. Dean Smith’s men sit in 21st place on 12 points, but a victory over Crawley could see them climb as high as 13th.

Further games against Chesterfield, Notts County and Peterborough United are also on the horizon for the League 1 side.

24 hours and not one joke - this place isnt what it used to be

No point having a joke when the pedants would just come along and point out the difference in the spelling - and btw you missed out an apostrophe

Last time someone joked about this lad's name some **** threw a load of shit at them like an agitated chimp. That person isn't here any more though.

And yes, I capitalised '****' on purpose.

Most people end sentences with a full stop.

They might worry about his fellow players if when asked about how his team mates are he says "I know not. Am I my brother's keeper?"
Is that why they've signed him, because his brothers are already playing for them?
