After the last fifteen minutes against blaqckpool i think we have seen the start of the turn around. Or am I just being blindly optimistic.

Suggesting that supporters and the media thought they were good signings doesnt defend Micky Adams' position. Surely he should know more about these players, have an in depth knowledge etc. Suggesting he did no wrong is like saying MK might as well have assembled the squad for the season.

You dont need to be a genius to work out that a collection of 30+ yeard olds wernt going to have to desire for the fight. Micky Adams made the decisions and was man enough to stand down when he realised he had done wrong - end of story IMO.

OK, this will be my LAST word on this subject of Micky Adams, he is in the passed and the future is what matters now, Micky assembled what he thought was a very decent squad, no one would deliberately buy bad players ! certain pundits DO know there stuff as do other managers, the bookies are also "careful" with their money, EVERYONE thought we would do the bizz, the managerial change has proved that the players NOT the manager are the cause for our under performing I do not blame Micky for our predicament nor do I blame Craig for failing to turn things around, until these characterless bunch of under achievers are consigned to the bin things will continue to look bleak, AM & MDV MAY help to get things back on track, we can only wait and see, either way I shall be at EVERY game, home and away and will sing myself hoarse, what about you ?????

Of course I will continue to go to every game I can possibly get to home and away - thats without question. I am also behind CL and back what he is trying to acheive. My point is that someone should be accountable for assembling this squad! and i believe that is Micky Adams. We are banking on CL to bring in better players in harder conditions than MA found himself at the start of the season, therefore if he manages even a modest up turn in our results he has done very well.

If I could afford the time and money to go to every away game MB, I most certainly would. Unfortunately in my situation I currently can not. However, where I can get I will get and I will continue to do my utmost as a true Leicester City fan.

What you want is what I want and what we all want.

One thing we must take into account whilst comparing both these managers records is that Craig Levein has not had the benefit of a pre season with his players.

CL has tried to change things but it will take time, and with preperation for matches it is very difficult to change too much, all you can do is fine tune and work on the basics. Only next season after a full pre season will we really see a true Craig Levein side and tactics.

I do agree with MB most of us did think MA had assembled a decent squad capable of winning promotion, but I think the negative tactics caused us to lose a few games and by the time CL had arrived, I think the rot had set in and many of the players knew the writing was on the wall and therefore a lot of the hunger and desire had gone.

If anyone wants to do a like for like comparison. Compare MA team against CL team. leicester V's Hearts and CL would win.
Come the end of the season there will be question that CL was the right way to go.

The great thing about forums is that everyone is entitled to an opinion. I believe that it was time for Micky to go. However, that doesn't make me ungrateful for his achievements...he did a hell of a lot in his first season, and for that I will be grateful.

MB, you don't have to feel like supporting MA is a bad thing. You are entitled to your opinion and you'll find that everyone here respects you for it. The easy thing to do would be to jump on the Levein bandwagon and claim everything was Micky's fault. You haven't done that so fair play to you, you stuck by your beliefs and never faultered...that is a pretty admirable personality trait if you ask me! It shows loyalty and charecter, so please, don't feel defensive about your beliefs!

Whether we like it or not, we are all in this together and Craig Levein is our manager. Lets get behind him and his efforts to start from year 1 and put this comparison nonsense to bed.

Craig Levein's Blue and White Army

Hmmm.
I'm a mere woman, journalist and football author and psychologist and season-ticket holder for over a decade, so what the hell do I know?
BUT, I'd just like to point out that the youngster MA had to cope with an albatross round his neck in the form of Harry (I'm your best mate) Bassett.
Craig Levein sacked Harry, and this was the best move ever made.
MA couldn't work with the constraints put on him by the Bassettmeister, who always wanted to get in the cheap OAPs.
Can we please give Levein the opportunity to bring in his own guys who can perhaps do more than kick and rush?
Can we give him the time, which MA was never given, to be his own man?
I'm impressed by his solo efforts so far.......

Stop blaming Bassett for MA's mistakes!

MA WANTED Bassett at the club - he insisted Bassett was given a new contract.

The players MA signed were his own choice, he didn't have to sign anyone he didn't want.

If he was influenced by Bassett in any way, it was his choice.

It might have been his choice, but Bassett was the one at fault in the selection of cheapo ageing players. And yes, I will continue to blame Harry. He should have known better than to try to be an eminence gris. He ain't got the finesse for grisaille...........
:D
PS Bonjour Cheeky Renard Argent ! Ca va?
