For the life of me I don't know how Clayton hasn't been booked. Several really cynical fouls.

I don't really know what you're doing here. I think you're pretending to misunderstand me and it's a bit silly. I just meant we didn't look as strong as I know we can be.

Anyway... things picked up in the last ten minutes of the first half so I'm delighted it's no longer terrible.

It's not specifically aimed at you. People just need to get a grip a bit. It's far from the worst performance this season let alone ever.

You've got two teams playing the second game in 3 days and we're playing a different formation. There are flaws and it's not exciting but it's hardley bloody terrible.

Sunderland's performance yesterday was terrible. This isn't.

Very scrappy game. Maybe it's the formations of midfield overload , or just both teams lacking quality.

Amartey and Mendy looking decent.

Gray and Musa would be useful going on soon in this half to expose thier defence with Mahrez nearly has but Ulloa is just too slow for this interlink football we're trying to play.
Ulloa has done more than Shinji in my opinion. I'd swap him out for Alrighton on the right and Mahrez left.

It's always strange how people see games differently. I think Mendy has looked messy. To me, he seems to lack composure and wants to chase every ball he can before thinking through his positioning. He's getting himself in the way of, rather than helping out his team mates. I also think he gives the ball away far too cheaply. Maybe I'm just concentrating on the negatives too much.

We need something extra up front. I can see Gray being called upon shortly but for who? Okazaki is more defensively minded than Mahrez, so maybe Mahrez.

Fuchs looks totally exposed against Traore. That's where they will get their best chances.

I also think he's looked very sloppy. Hasn't played much so probably should give him the benefit of the doubt and allow him to get into the swing of things again but always best to improve on things you can do better.

If I'm having trouble getting the kids to sleep later I might put this tripe on for them.

Yes, it's not entertaining but this is exactly what we should have been doing away this season.

We're compact, strong, frustrating the opposition and defensively well organised.

Had we set up like this more this season we might have picked up more than two points from nine matches.

Back to basics is exactly what I want to see away from home. Ugly away points are a sign of progress.

We need an outlet up-front. He has to bring on the pace of Gray or Musa.
