Well it makes a welcome change to score 300, but there were still 7 one digit scores! Good fightback from 4/3 mind.

Eckersley looks like a bit of a find, and Smith really needed that ton after a poor season.

Good news but more conspicuous is the non-news about Taylor. The times said today 'looks almost certain to be joining Warwickshire'. Suspect the news will be confirmed following the CL.

As for this match at least there were more positives than a lot of others. Just the 8th wicket stand that was the difference and given the bowling attack we had out something like that was always on.
