I deny I have ever thought this! I think we will be lucky to reach the play offs!!!:icon_cool

Bit puzzled by this quote from Hoos

Hoos hailed Mandaric for stabilising City after the crippling financial problems which contributed to the club's relegation to League One two years ago.

I'm not quite sure how adding £5-10 million of debt a year stabilises crippling financial problems.

It doesn't... it just makes the people who still think he bought us for £25million (©bill Anderson 2006) happy.

I dunno about you. but I've already booked the travel to Old Trafford.

I don't see the reason for the sneers and negative comments.

We have had a number of seasons when things seemed chaotic. There was the time when the Chief Executive banned the manager and chairman from writing in the programme and there were the spineless performances under Peter Taylor. Then although Micky Adams did well there was the worry of administration. The next season we were plastered over the front pages with false claims of rape and were relegated. For a couple of seasons we flirted with relegation. Then we had the ridiculous Year Of Four Managers.

Lets be pleased that Milan and Hoos get on better than Elsom and Pierrepont. They both seem to realise what a good manager Nigel is and for the first time in a number of years I go to a match with a pretty good idea of what the team will be.

I know it is unfashionable to be positive but I am quite happy with the way Milan, Lee and Nigel are running the club.

He gets my agreement as well. We do have some synical ****ers on this site. What's wrong with having ambitious people running the club? Not only that though, we seem to have sensible people running the club who won't go out buying players willy nilly with money we don't have.

It could be a damn site worse that's for sure.

What annoys me is when people start moaning about the club trying to drum up as much support as they can muster, as if it's a bad thing. Surely we all want to see regular 30,000+ attendances again? Chances are it's not going to happen unless we get back into the Premiership but you can't blame them for trying atleast..... or, you can, so it would seem.

They should keep quiet all season long, and leave Leicester City for all of us real fans, rather than encouraging anyone else to come along to the game. We should stop advertising or promoting the club at all, because it's our secret and no one else is allowed to share in it or put any money into the club

And we should definitely stop promoting ticket sales at all costs. Any real fan already has a season ticket, so they don't need to hear about it

They should also hand out special tokens to us at the games so that we can all get ten play-off final tickets each, and not allow any part-time pete to come along and buy a ticket, ever

Nice point. Except, of course, that the ladling of an extra £5-10 million of debt on the club each year is evidence of people running the club going out buying players willy-nilly with money we don't have.

Lee Hoos is so far up Milan's arse you can only see his feet sticking out.

i think hoos is the reason we got pearson in the 1st place, to say he is so far up milans arse etc is maybe a little harsh all theyre doing is singing from the same hymn sheet

I beg to differ, I think as far as we are concerned the problem is more down to the players wages than anything else. That is the single biggest drain on the club's finances and is obviously a problem for many clubs.

I think things are going as well as can be expected at the moment personally.

The club's primary income you'd guess would be ticket sales, so if you look at 20,000 tickets at £20 each that's £400,000. On average you get a home game every two weeks I think, we've got players earning up to £12,000 a week and what? 25 to 30 players in the squad?

My figures are obviously pretty vague but the financial situation isn't necessarily great just because we have a millionaire chairman in charge. Things will be tight on the financial front until we do get into the Premier League.

I think all the moaning pails into insignificance when you think of not having a club to support at all. I'd be gutted if we ever went under and I don't think I'd bother following football at all if there were no Leicester City. That is to say I would definately take the FA Cup over the World Cup ;)

Milan is to be interviewed on the BBC East Mids football prog next week - just been on Radio 5 talking about Portsmouth.

I think we still signed these players. Cash up front or over 3 years, it's still running around spending money we don't have.

Turnover's going to be around £15 million (it was £14 million in the last published accounts). We're spending over £20 million a year - borrowing the difference. How long can that continue? And how will it improve in the Prem? It almost drove Hull into bankruptcy, don't forget.

It's not a question of things being tight - more things being completely unsustainable.
