Good. Time the game had a reality check.

It's time the Premier League grew some balls and brought the likes of Man Utd to task. How can a club be allowed to run up over half a billion pounds worth of debt totally unchecked?

Apparantly Man Utd had very little debt until the Glaziers took over.

The Premier Leauge will never install transfer or wage caps because it will force the top players abroad and the Prem will lose it's status.

But have the PL really got all the top players here?

The players will soon be forced abroad when the money can no longer be offered. Spain, players are paid tax free and Italy budgets are about to be boosted with a mega tv deal on it's way.

It will be interesting to see how many people are this calm when we are having to sell players or can't get in the better players we need.

Not happy about it. But the financial irresponsibility being shown by a number of clubs needs to be addressed. It's been like the emperor's new clothes for ages now, everybody pretending there isnt a problem...

When Liverpool don't get that 4th Champions League spot the sh*t will positively hit the fan.

As for City, I would hope that those fans old enough will recognize that the excessive spending of the early 00's shagged us completely. When people are clamouring for more loans, signings, etc and then I hear we are running at a 5M deficit I can't help but wonder where these fans were a few years ago when the willy-nilly spending nearly put us out of business.

Trust me, I won't be one of those people dancing on Pompey's grave, but at some point things like this are inevitable.

There is a story on skysports news with MM claiming he is personally covering all losses and the only debt is stadium debt 3 years old. That is quite a claim to make.

You guys saying he is lying and the losses are covered by new loans?

I think what people are saying is that Milan is loaning money to the club, money he'll expect to get back at some stage. That's what normally happens when an owner puts money into a club.

He said on the moan in that he was covering the debt and not in the form of loans. He also said that he has to convert £10million in America to bring £6/7 million into this country to cover the cost. Whether he was telling the truth or not I don't know. But if he is then Thank you Milan.:038:

he is saying otherwise tho, he is claiming he is giving it to the club. "the club do not have any other debt", of course I may be wrong and his words are clever maybe he loaned it to a parent company or something.
