Dowie has already turned down approaches
Can somebody please tell me why MM might want Dowie?
What are his achievements that make him a great manager?
Is he a great motivator?
Has he got several teams promoted?
Does he get great value players for little money and/or wages?
Do his teams play great football on the floor and score lots of goals?
Do players and/or agents beat a path to his door to join his clubs?
If he does not do most of the above, why the feck would MM or some of you on TB want him here?

Just because he's available and can kick somebody up the arse does not make him an attractive candidate. I qualify on both counts but I do not think MM would hire me, leaving aside lack of coaching badges etc!
Well, in fairness he did an incredible job at C Palace..

I want to see Andy O'brien come in from Portsmouth. He is not the greatest centre-half in the world but he would be more than adequate for the Championship and his experience would definately be a positive. I don't think we would have to work too hard to get him.
Chris Brunt from Sheffild Wednesday would be good. J Lloyd Samuel and Lee Hendrie from Villa would be excellent signings. David Unsworth would be worth a shot. As previously mentioned, Todorov from Pompey would be great. Patrick Berger maybe from Villa. Henrik Pedersen at Bolton. Danny Mills would be an excellent addition. Jason Euell and Malcolm Christie. Chris Iwelumo. Justin Mapp from the Chicago Fire - an excellent right winger. Craig Gordon from Hearts.
As for Managers:
Steve Nicol - not sure if he would leave the US but he is doing a brilliant job over here. Bobby Robson. David Pleat. Claudio Ranieri. Joe Jordan. Would have loved Alex McLeish but it's too late now. David O'Leary would be good in my opinion. Joe Royle.
If David O'Leary ever came here I would put a gun in my mouth and end it all.
Irony, I take it Alex?
