I want to see Andy O'brien come in from Portsmouth. He is not the greatest centre-half in the world but he would be more than adequate for the Championship and his experience would definately be a positive. I don't think we would have to work too hard to get him.

Chris Brunt from Sheffild Wednesday would be good. J Lloyd Samuel and Lee Hendrie from Villa would be excellent signings. David Unsworth would be worth a shot. As previously mentioned, Todorov from Pompey would be great. Patrick Berger maybe from Villa. Henrik Pedersen at Bolton. Danny Mills would be an excellent addition. Jason Euell and Malcolm Christie. Chris Iwelumo. Justin Mapp from the Chicago Fire - an excellent right winger. Craig Gordon from Hearts.

As for Managers:
Steve Nicol - not sure if he would leave the US but he is doing a brilliant job over here. Bobby Robson. David Pleat. Claudio Ranieri. Joe Jordan. Would have loved Alex McLeish but it's too late now. David O'Leary would be good in my opinion. Joe Royle.

Can somebody please tell me why MM might want Dowie?

What are his achievements that make him a great manager?

Is he a great motivator?
Has he got several teams promoted?
Does he get great value players for little money and/or wages?
Do his teams play great football on the floor and score lots of goals?
Do players and/or agents beat a path to his door to join his clubs?

If he does not do most of the above, why the feck would MM or some of you on TB want him here?

I agree, of course, but...

Dowie vrs Kelly and Dowie would win hands down.....Just for kicking our shower of shite up the arse if nothing else.

Who knows but he does.

Just because he's available and can kick somebody up the arse does not make him an attractive candidate. I qualify on both counts but I do not think MM would hire me, leaving aside lack of coaching badges etc!

I think Ian Dowie proved at Charlton that he not good when given large amounts of money. If Milan is going to invest heavily in the playing side then I would like an experienced, older, wiser manager brought in.

i think my mother would be a good choice she brought up 9 of us and none of us give her any back chat we all turn up when we say we will, she tells us straight away we been bad but stands up for us when someone else says it,and if we dont pull our weight then its bed with no supper! scary!

Please tell me you are joking:icon_conf ...and Ranieri come here ???

If David O'Leary ever came here I would put a gun in my mouth and end it all.

Irony, I take it Alex?;)

Yes and no. At both Oldham and Palace to begin with, he was extremely good. He got Palace up too early by his own reckoning, but he did get them up. In the premiership they were no worse/better than Foxes under Adams, and he jumped ship for the Charlton job which he was never given a good run at. At Charlton he signed Andy Reid, superb, but he also got Hasselbaink and Diarra (sp) who have both been nonsense.

In many ways (again) I think we all need to get real. The likes of Ranieri, Redknapp (Harry), Robson, O'leary etc are not coming to Leicester City Football Club at present. Dowie? Why not.
