I also didn't have a chat with mills, he was either interviewed or quoted as saying that he didn't touch the player when he clearly tackled him 2 footed pointlessly which resulted in him being sent off and (if I recall correctly) us losing the game.

He is reckless and arrogant and from what I have seen I can understand why managers would find him frustrating and annoying.

Sorry, I genuinely must have missed that interview. But what managers and players say in public, and what they say in private, are completely different.
