Just back from the match.

Not particularly pretty, but we had all the best chances and i'm not sure Millwall had a shot on target all game.

Strange tactics by NP in the 2nd half. Will write more after my dinner.

Well had we had a bit more energy and confidence we would have taken them easy today. Millwall looked genuinly clueless when in posession and created zip all day. We looked leggy today and well below our best - very reliant on the hoof to Howard.

When we did pass it about (first 10 of both halves) we looked very good and i though it was going to be a stroll. Sadly we didn't continue in that vain and became more defensive as the game wore on.

Dyer was woeful and i was fully expecting to see Gradel introduced at half time as he would have run them ragged. When Dyer did leave with 20mins to go, out of the blue big Barry was sent on to play out wide - why??

Howard was then taken off with 15 to go and Kisnorbo sent on to make 5 at the back. Lock it up was clearly the tactic, but by leaving Fryatt up on his own that just invited them on and it was getting a bit nervy at the end.

I think NP got nervous today and from halftime he was thinking of ways to secure the 1-0 and take the 3 points home. Not pretty but it did get the 3 points.

Man of the match was Cleverley he ran his socks off and never wasted a pass all day. No one else stood out, although the defence were very solid. Dyer was terrible and Howard (arguably) was a yard offside in the biuld up to the goal - top finish mind.

I bloody hate the Den. Scary roided up cockneys!!!

A loss here away to one of the better teams in the division would have had us panicking, the team anxious and news rife of our bottling.

Cannot overstate how big a win it is.

I can see us winning every game until promtion is assured now.

I'm not sure I'd want to be a Leicester fan in that stadium at the moment though, given the coin throwing etc.

I don't think there was a single Leicester fan that was in the least bothered by the coin-throwing. The ¾ hour wait before being allowed away from the stadium was a bit of a bugger though.

I hope you are not relying on or banking on that, there are quite a number of people around me in the kop end that are on their own and season ticket holders.

Yeah, but would they sit in a single seat in the MOST stupidly expensive part of the ground? In 2005 I was in Liverpool, and didn't renew as I couldn't get across easily. They couldn't sell my seat as a ST seat, and when I returned to Leicester, they almost bit my hand off with a reduced price for a half season ticket.

I actually don't mind where I sit. The cheap seats will do me, and I get VERY cheap seats, as a student, every October. So far I've used them for friends and family. I can use them for me.

There's method in my failure to renew.

We heard you on the radio. You all sounded really made up! It was a pleasure to listen to you all, no matter how long it took! :)

Job's a good'un.

Big respect to the away fans. You and the team did us proud in the Den today.

No matter what age you are yiou can renew as a student for £207 in the kop. You have to have a letter to say you have been offered a place at University etc and away you go. Even adults in their 50's going to Uni get the "under 22" £207 deal.

That was before the queue to South Bermondsley station began.

Agreed. I was also 'delayed' another 15 minutes in the street below the station before I could get to the bus stop.

I'm 64, and finishing a PhD. I like picking up tickets at the Uni for £5 :)

We saw you walking towards the 1000 police presence from the station :icon_wink

Yes the wait before we could leave the ground was a disaster, once we got onto the platform we were at the front and the bloody train doors didnt stop near us so we had to wait for the next, the police escorting was a shambles, must have spent a good 10,000+ on the police today.

Very professional game played today by the blue boys, top day out.

Probably for the best though..

From a Millwall forum:

"Surprisingly, the gate was open by the cub shop to exit via Zampa Road. A mob of around 150 'wall taunting old bill on horses +the usual robocops. Before long the o/b charged and bottles etc were lobbed back, cue running batlles. No Birmingham affair but lively all the same. Doubt Leicester would have been leaving the ground much before 6"
