He was only at Dundee on trial, so he couldn't have played for their first team during that time, but he did play for their reserves. The trial was to see if they wanted to take him on loan when the transfer window opened, no news if that's happened yet.

simple solution, if you want to find somewhere to redirect you to betting sites or go over the top about city reserves v chelsea reserves the official site is the place to be, otherwise just scour other sources

The problem is most of the other sources just rehash the stuff from the official site, there are very few genuine news sites.


I do think they have a thankless task on the official site though, whatever they do someone will find a reason to complain about it.

Im only havin slight complaints that they arent telling us everything. I'll agree that some of the stuff is rehashed on ohter sites but how can other sites rehash somethin that hasnt been on the OS in the first place?

i think people would be happy to hear gilbert going, i could understand if it was "oh and by the way a decent player is going out the door". all i check the official site for is goal highlights and ticket news.

Ever since he went out on loan all I've seen are people complaining about how we paid 200k for him and how he'll probably go for nothing. If the OS put up that Gilbert has gone for an undisclosed fee that I think people will be annoyed as even if there is a chance that that fee might be 200k, there is a more likely chance that it is less.

So what aren't they telling us?

It looks like the Gilbert transfer hasn't been officially completed yet (not confirmed as happened on the SWFC site, BBC or Soccerbase). So that's not news until it happens.

The trialist thing is probably another story that's not really news. Players regularly spend time going on trial from club to club (particularly foreign players), but it's not really news until a club decides they're interested in him. I suspect this 'news' was leaked by the player's agent in an attempt to drum up interest from other clubs.

The Logan loan is another one that doesn't appear to have been officially completed yet (nothing on the official Boston site), so again they're probably waiting for it to be completed before telling us about it.
