I'm a bit concerned about the pace down the centre of the pitch if we start with Morrisson, Kishishev and Howard? I'd prefer us to start with King above Kishishev and Gradel ahead of Dyer.
I say this for a couple of reasons: Added pace/mobility, and also the fact that King and Gradel are home grown and will hopefully get a massive boost from being trusted with the opening day of a season in front of 27,000 ish fans. They've played here for years and hopefully will use that experience of the stadium to their advantage.
Dangers for me - pace down the spine of the team exposed, the defence fails to gel quickly, young players heads go down if we fall behind with Oakley, Howard, Tunchev not able to exert influence on them and pull them in the right direction.

My team (with ages - we've got a bloody young squad with the average age of the below team being 23 3/4 with six eligible for under 21's):

Henderson (32)

Gilbert (21) Morrisson (20) Tunchev (26) Mattock (18)

Gradel (21) Oakley (30) King (21) Adams (21)

Fryatt (22) Howard (26)

Subs: Campbell, Martin, Dyer, Kishishev, Hobbs

Dyer has been playing on the left and Adams on the right though

Right, have got my ticket and now it's time to catch the train to Leicester. Shit, I hope we win this one. I have a terrible feeling this season isn't going to be as easy as I think we would all like it to be.

beighton- i think that our two best assets on the flanks are gradel and adams, judging by pre season. adams has two good feet as does gradel. i'd rather see those two in the starting line up than dyer - who i don't think is one of our two best wingers.

gradel, judging by his temperament on the pitch is a player that needs some responsibility given to him. we've got the perfect opportunity to do that here.

wondering whether to go or not - last few games i've attended have all been draws or defeats; Scunthorpe 1-1, Charlton 1-1 a 0-0 where i can't even remember the team we played because it was so boring. Watford 0-1 away, Palace 0-2 defeat away, Fulham defeat away, Chelsea defeat away.
If i don't go though and we only get 22,000 fans instead of nearer to 30,000 i'll feel shit that there are thousands of us sat at home not getting behind the team.
A quandry.

This isn't what I had envisaged at all. I pictured bright sunshine, carnival atmosphere, crowd jubilant, players on a high, 3-0 up at half time and cruising.

It's pissing down, cold, I can't be arsed to turn up and I bet neither can the players.

I think as the game at Palace was the last practice before today the team that started last saturday may well be the same again today.

Only differences i see are whether he keeps King in the middle or swaps him for Kish, as this would release Oakley further forward.

He may also swap the Fryatt/Howard partnership as there is a lack of pace in that Combo. The wingers will defo be Gradel and Dyer (this offers the best balance).

I think realistically it'll be a 1-1 draw. Not sure on the starting line-up though

I think Nicky Adams will play personally, but think it's then probably fairly open between Gradel/Dyer/Porter... maybe less so Porter.

No idea who will start in goal though... probably Hendo.

Come on the City! Get us off to a good start!

Melts you have more mood swings than a woman :)
