So now we are being linked with an apparently decent holding midfielder. We have signed a young central defender with champions league experience, an attacking right full back and a big striker who has played for his country at under 21 level (yes I know Trevor Benjamin did as well).

Add these to Nigel Pearsons last signing for us and it appears we are strengthening the squad in all of the right places, although we don't yet know how good these signings will be.

There were comments on various boards when Sousa joined that he wasn't very good at player recruitment, but it appears that he has done well so far assuming these players can perform.

You do realise how r'tarded that sentence is don't you?

The most signficant signing will be if the consortium place their signitures on the paperwork or not.
This will determine who the next player signings will be - free transfer/loans or something a bit more up market (not to imply that all free transfer players are not worth signing, some are of course. But if the consortium sign and they really have money to spend, we will have more choice amongst the best players within a budget higher than we have now)

Getting close to end of transfer window. Doesn't the loan windon continue later/reopen?

Transfer window is open until the end of August is it not? Plenty of time. I should imagine Paulo's team know who they would like to sign if the budget was available.

the club say sousa is currently in portugal finalising a deal for a player, must be him!

Moreno is in England having a medical in my opinion. He said yesterday that everything between the clubs had been agreed, and there has been a sighting of a new player at the club today.

He's finalising deals for Marlon Harewood, Mungongo, Billy Shitpants, Tommy Wright, Lee Morris and Iain Dowie. They're all currently in Aruba having their medicals.

4/10

Would've been better if it was just 'in your opinion'. As it is, it seems too much like fact
