Can someone enlighten me as to why anyone on this entire planet would give two ****s about the views of Piers Morgan when it comes to MOTD?

Anyone got any special MOTD's they remember that involve City or any other team for that matter.
I always think of that Shrewsbury FA Cup tie or the QPR F A Cup tie from 1974 when I tbink of games on MOTD involving City. Or even that abandoned game against Southampton when Lynex swam in the puddle.

Warning - rant coming. Quite irrelevant. Nothing to do with Match of the Day.

It is the BBC cult of celebrity. Now you have got me going. Football has it easy compared with History. The BBC has realised that presenters do not need to have any depth of knowledge whatever . Researchers can tell them the facts and without doing the years of research necessary Ian Hislop or Jeremy Paxman can pretend to understand a subject.

In the 1960s Kenneth Clark distilled a lifetime of scholarship into his Civilisation series. The BBC has announced that it is remaking the series. Rumour is that it is going to be presented by Phil Neville..
