These stories are a rehash of a Daily Mirror article. Complete and utter horsenshit from start to finish.
It's very odd how perspectives can be so different. You see, I understand how you can assert the conclusion that Vardy was lazy under Ranieri and put in little effort and that is absolutely your prerogative but I don't buy it. I think he was being told to play in a role that didn't suit him. He was being shoehorned into a system that didn't press or chase as high or as often as he wanted to. He now seems to be playing with the freedom he had last season and we are seeing the dividends of this. To want to see the back of him now is surely madness? He's somewhere near back to his best at the moment and we've all seen first had what an in-form Vardy can bring to the club. Out and out goal scorers in the Premier League are rarer than rocking horse shit and we have one. It'd be incredibly difficult to replace him as we have seen with the likes of Musa and Slimani - both of whom aren't in the same universe as Vardy as goal scorers. To get rid of him for the sake of a few months where everyone seemed to playing in a regressive, unstable and constantly shifting system would be totally and utterly absurd.
