MP3 Format Sound

I have some free downloads which I am trying to add to my Itunes collection. These Files Type are in MP3 Format Sound, but when I try to add them to Itunes using the add folder or add file options nothing happens. The files are not hidden, is it perhaps that Itunes won't recognise this file type?

I have plenty of mp3 files in my itunes library, but may occasionally have come across this problem. Can't recall why it happened though.

You could always try converting them to M4a files ... use Format Factory http://www.formatoz.com/
