I may just be thinking of this becuase you have mentioned Sepultura, but im sure theres a conection between them and Down.
Well my mate listens to all them kind of bands, but anyway there was a band who their lead singer got assasinated on stage i think and then the rest of the band formed another band. For some reason im thinking it was Sepultura that were the original band and Down the re-formed band.
Hopefully you can shed some light on this cus im really clutching at staws trying to remember what bands it is!!

I think you're thinking of Pantera, it wasn't the lead singer it was the guitarist, Dimebag Darrell who was shot on stage by a lunatic fan.

Phil Anselmo was the lead singer of Pantera and he is now the lead singer of Down. I do know the band, and yes they are excellent

When I was younger, used to bring home rock, metal, goth tapes & records, she liked too many of them! It was difficult to rebel! I remember one family holiday in Scotland my mum asked me to put Sisters of Mercy on the car stereo, she liked The Almighty, Saxon, had to get to Slayer, Celtic Frost, ect before I could get a reaction...
