This is my story of last night. You don't have to read it but I hope you will.
To tell you all the truth, I was watching Sky Sports News until there was about 20 minutes to go. I couldn't bear it so I went bed sort of thinking that not knowing was better than knowing (we had lost).
After the Plymouth match I was distraught, couldn't sleep, nothing would work (no, not even that) so I vowed to never put myself in that position again for a while.
Strangely enough, I had a great nights sleep which even incorporated some highly erotic and steamy dreams about the girl in the Renault adverts, you know the one, Eiffel Tower, Blackpool Tower, etc. When I woke up :icon_conf I managed to avoid the result in the shower (radio 5 live) and whilst making breakfast (radio 1) so I sat down watching Sky Sports News eating my toast and marmite and drinking my tea and the Black guy said "after the break, find out how Leicester faired without a manager...." and I was like "oh BOLLOCKS! WE'VE LOST AGAIN, THE PATRONISING COCONUTS!", anyway, I patiently waiting for the adverts to finish and there she was! The girl from the Renault advert! BONJOUR!!! Indeed it was a coincidence but a nice one at that (well two actually, haha).
Then came the scores at the bottom of the screen (whilst the Superbowl XL trailers were on) and I knew that the score was 1-1 when I left it. When it got to Plymouth's and Preston's results I knew that it was QPR's next and as it crept along the screen it said QPR 2..... and I was gutted, BUT ONLY FOR ABOUT A QUARTER OF A FOOKIN' SECOND!!!!!..... 3 LEICESTER
WHOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then I watched the goals and jumped around like a kangeroo on acid, went to work and got on the forum.
A truly great 15 hours or so and I feel I owe it all to the girl of the Renault advert. Here's to you, you saucy french mademoiselle!
p.s. I have done a bit of research and found out that the girl in that advert is called 'Sophie' (or Annelise Hesme in real life). I have also found the full script to the advert which you can see in General chat if you so wish to.
