Stephen Hughes believes City must pick themselves up, dust themselves down and start all over again against Coventry City on Sunday.
The 22-year-old midfielder could not his disappointment following their midweek defeat at the hands of Burnley.
But the former Rangers man says there is no time to dwell ahead of the club's crucial Midlands showdown with the Sky Blues at the Walkers Stadium.
He said: "We just didn't play well enough on Tuesday and it was the same old story.
"Since I arrived in January there have been so many highs and lows but one thing the players haven't been guilty of is getting carried away after one or two decent results.
"The Watford win was a good result but it certainly didn't mean that we had turned the corner.
"We know that we need to put four or five wins in a row together before we can start talking about turning the corner and moving up the table."
Paddy McCarthy, Elvis Hammond and Dion Dublin all went close against the Clarets but former City striker Ade Akinbiyi's second half strike proved to be the difference between the two sides.
"Everyone in the dressing room knows, and no disrespect is meant to Burnley, that we should be getting a positive result at home in front of our own fans against a team like them," added Hughes.
"The fans have every right to be disappointed but we must just pick ourselves up and concentrate on the next match.
"There are always highs and lows in football but we just seem to be having our fair share of lows at this moment in time."
The Foxes are now focused on picking up three points against Micky Adams' men on Sunday.
"It's a massive game for us," he said. "We definitely need to get the three points because nothing else will be good enough.
"The fans have been magnificent so far this season and we just need them to remain firmly behind us.
"I know they want us to kick on and we remain convinced that we can do just that despite our indifferent form so far."
