I know there are a few Shakey fans on here, so what do you think? I can never decide between On the Beach and Rust Never Sleeps, but for some bizarre reason I missed On the Beach out from the poll so had to go for Rust Never Sleeps (shambles!)

i've noticed Trans is actually starting to get a critical rewrite recently. A lot of people finally coming out and saying it's actually not that bad. The whole reason he made the album was because his son, who has cerebal pulsay responded better to the vocoder, which I think is pretty cool.

Anyways, I only listened to it only once a while back and I remember actually quite liking it. I would much rather listen to it than something from around Silver and Gold/Are You Passionate era.

Also, it's much better to see an ageing artist try something different and new, even if they don't pull it off, rather than just throw out albums of the same, safe, genre over and over again for 40 years like someone like The Stones have.

Rockin' in the Free World.

Best Young track by far, when you realise what he is singing about.

After The Gold Rush for me, purely because that was the one that turned me on to the great man's music.

Rockin' in the Free World also has one of the cheesiest music videos ever.

Couldn't comment on the albums but my favourite track is probably After the Gold Rush, followed by Hey Hey, My My

It's better to burn out than fade away.....
