If GA goes then there had better be a bloody good replacement coming in because N'Gotty isnt good enough for us and Darren 'Bloody' Moore is a has been that is worse that N'Gotty! To only thing I can think of is playing stearman at center half and playing chambers at right back...

Disagree, think Moore would be a great addition to our side. He would be good at Championship level and be dangerous from set pieces.

Lets get him in......

But he's as slow as arseholes which means we would have defend very deep.Any ball over top and he is fecked IMO

cant we just keep mcauley? seems to be working well, whats the point in risking going through a few replacements??

Why would we want to sell him if we dont have to,maybe im a bit thick well not even maybe, but I thought the idea was to build a squad.

One of the better players in Derby's play off win last season? In their relatively successful team for most of last season?

sadly thats enough for too many people. i'd say he is better than any of the defenders we have

I can see what you mean but Oakley and Howard dont seem to be enough for most people?

perhaps because they are players signed to fill positions we have no capable players for? i'm not sure, but i can't see why anyone would poo-poo the potential signing of someone who is better than what we have

Ollie hinting he may let McAley go if he signs a replacement. Can Osbourne play centre back? whos at Plymouth?

Can Rivaldo play centre back? Cus we are deffinitly signing him.
Well, Thats what they say on this rumours web-site.:081:

Rivaldo definitely joining Leicester on Thursday or Friday, will not play on Saturday because of work permit issues. 18 month contract.

Believe it when i see it!!!!!!!

At least one new centre back is required. Neither Kisnorbo or McAuley have any pace. Neither of them ever seem to talk on the pitch either. As centre half is a key position in any team in terms of influence, I'd be very surprised if IH is happy with two silent snails in there. Especially now we're playing a much higher back line.

If he's thinking about Moore at Draby, it's because he's an influential character first and foremost. He also can't be that bad a player if he's been part of several promotion winning defences.

In my view, both of our first choice centre halves are extremely average. I'd back IH to improve that position if he wants to do some trading.

As for McAuley and his Agent moaning about his salary and using the interest from Ipswich to get a better deal, I think you have to be a bit better than him to get away with something like that. Let's take the money from Ipswich and get a better player for slightly more and pay him the higher wages. Be very surprised if IH doesn't think the same way too.

I agree. Why would we want to sell McAuley. Our problems have not been defensive - I think we've conceded the second fewest amount of goals in the league behind Wolves, and it has been Kisnorbo and McAuley at CB for the majority of the time.

I'm not saying I wouldn't welcome a quick, tall, strong, young CB as we're short of cover and competition for places there, but we don't need to sell to buy...

Completely agree

The one thing last Saturday did expose was the fact that, with a decent midfield four in the team, the weaknesses of the back four became evident - namely their desire to blindly hoof the ball aimlessly up the pitch at every given opportunity.

McAuley being by far the worst culprit
