Lydia Bedford is back in management, she's going to be the first manager of Calgary Wild - who are founder members of the Canadian Super League, which kicks off in April.

I think my views are fairly level headed, thus:

  1. Kasper - legend.
  2. Fofana - Arsehole for the way he conducted himself pre-move. Got what he deserved.
  3. Evans - Google the word '****,' image of JE appears.
  4. Soyuncu - Can't blame the guy, frozen out by BR, and left as soon as he could.
  5. Castagne - Meh.
  6. Tielemens - We should have tied his contract down well before it became a problem, semi - legend for that goal.
  7. N'didi - Very good player.
  8. Thomas - Meh.
  9. Perez - Not good enough for us, or should I say, not consistent enough.
  10. Nacho - See Perez.
  11. Vardy - The best player I have ever had the pleasure to see play for LCFC.
I feel that is fair?
I have a kinder view of Castagne than most people on here, although he too did succumb to the general malaise in the relegation year (the year before that I think he was one of our most consistent players).

Nah, not even Fofana. Why wouldn’t he agitate to leave? Why would anyone stay if they had the chance not to?

Because that’s not what you do. You are contracted.

If you act that way you aren’t going to ingratiate yourself with the fan base are you?

As it turns out it was a good move for both parties.

I don’t understand automatically hating a player as soon as he leaves, especially those who’ve ****ed off in the last few years. Why would anyone want to stay at a club run the way ours is under these ****wits? Career suicide.

It depends when they leave. If they leave when they're no longer at the club then fine. Madders, youri etc all left while they were still employed/meant to be playing. **** em all. That includes some who are still stinking the place out this season. The bunch of ****s.

Absolutely should have sold him that summer. Suspect Rodgers dug his heels in.
Yep and, for all Rodgers went mardy about not being backed that summer, my view is that we did back him, but by not selling players. What we’d done pretty well, up to that point, was to accept the reality of needing to sell players when the time was right, but we didn’t that year and it proved catastrophic, in that these players became less valuable (or even of no value) at a point when we also got relegated. That’s mismanagement at a high level.
