That’s a great call. I don’t think we’ve made enough of this decision which almost certainly cost him title run ins, champions league nights, probably England caps and maybe (without checking the stats) trophies. I remember the dread of waiting for this decision in 2016, far more important than any transfer we made.
For goodness sake where is his statue.

They’re good players.
We sold two of them and the third refused to sign anew contract. Well done to them but a shame we couldn’t do better with them.
