I’d love to get Keane in as an assistant to Ruud. Apparently the Sunderland squad he managed celebrated when he resigned. We need a hard bastard.

He left players behind when they turned up late for an away game. No excuses. Pull your ****ing finger out your arse. You make stupid errors and lose focus, you’re on the bench. That mentality.

Just imagine him in Wout Faes’ face. Our players need a ****ing kick up the arse then maybe they’ll ****ing focus.

I’ve seen Faes have some storming matches for us (albeit ages ago) and he’s not in the Belgium squad as a result of pure luck. Sometimes I think he’s playing badly on purpose. Curly-pubed bastard.

We need a right **** to sort this bunch of wooses out. **** it, Top needs to go see Roy Keane for a ****ing reality check. They’re all ****ing useless.

But Keane wouldn’t also accept the bullshit and ineptitude from those above him either. That’s the reason why Moyes and Potter would have/did tell us to **** off.

I mean, 9 goals and 4 assists in 23 appearances is really good for a midfielder isn't it, given that it's in a woeful Spurs team?
Same conclusion every time. He’s fine when everyone else around him is playing well.

Pulling you out of the shit, he is not

About 3 days after the comment he was the person to pull spurs out of the shit against the maker of the comment’s favourite team.
Well, beating Manyoo isn’t really the big deal it was 10-15 years ago. They’re a lower-mid table team, not quite bad enough to be in the relegation conversation because of absolute shit like Southampton and Leicester stinking the league out every week, but they’ve been easily handled by anyone half decent. If Maddison could be trusted to do it consistently instead of going missing all the time he’d be at a better club.

Isn't that what he did yesterday? They hadn't won in four of the 5 games he missed. He comes back, they win and he scores the goal.
I mean, fair ****s to him for being the difference in that game (albeit against abject shite), and if he does it consistently he’ll eventually be worth all the noise around him and potentially also an England career. Turning up once in a while isn’t going to stand as proof that Keane has got him wrong though.

I agree with most of this, especially the part about consistency but I also think he's better than some have him down as being. In truth, he's somewhere in between. There's no doubt he can go missing in games, but he is also a game changer and winner at times. When you look at how many goals he scores and how many goal involvements he has, he's much more of an asset than he is sometimes given credit for.

Just noticed that David Lowe is caretaker manager at Blackburn. Which reminds me - how did the new manager bounce thing go for the shaggers?

The problem is not so much that he goes missing in games but that he goes missing with injuries for long proportions of seasons, pretty consistently.

He is a great player...for 3-4 months each season.

4th highest English goalscorer in the PL this season, despite missing a lot with injury.

The Schluppernator starts in front of Kaspar for Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic against Harry Kane’s Bayern
