There won't be 'lots' of ads. Not planning to use any banner ads at all, I'll probably include some Google adsense ads, which are just text links to other sites relevant to the subject of the blog.

The software isn't one you'll have heard of, it was written specifically for this system, it's only available as part of the blog hosting service and not as a standalone program.

You have complete control over the template. You have to choose an existing template when you sign up, to make it easy for beginners, but you can change the html, from within the admin control panel. Why not sign up and have a look?
