im looking at buying an acoustic, was just wondering if anyone on here plays and if anyone can reccomend a good quality but cheap make. i used to play but that was years ago.

Ovation do some decent beginners acoustics. I got a semi-acoustic off www.gak.co.uk for about £230 which I thought was a good deal and it's one of the guitars I use most at the minute. If you know what you're looking for then eBay is always worth a look, you are more likely to save money there than anywhere else and you can find some real gems on there aswell.

The only thing if you're buying off ebay is to make sure you see a picture taken down the edge of the neck from the stock down to the body to make sure it's not warped

Wow - there are so many..... 'Musima' make amazing guitars (German, but use USA wood, my one 'Nashville' has been a treasure). Luther also....

Try and get a good one - learning to work on a piece of shite will be hard....

I bought my missus a 'Guvnor' acoustic a few months back. British made, decent quality, solid gold easy action, stays in tune for more than 10 mins., managable prices. Get something perfectly reasonable for less than £100.
