It seems we are looking in the wrong place for a new striker? From what I have read recently the following sems to be the composite player

- Someone who can use his HEAD to good effect
- With Two good FEET
- Plays with a big HEART
- Has a lot of BOLLUX
- Has an EYE for a goal
- Has the STOMACH for a relegation battle.
- Does not cost and ARM & a LEG
- Can Be AR$ED to play for us.
- Is not a KNOB.

I suggest a small Bavarian town with a castle on the hill owned by a mad scientist with an assistant called Lurch or something and who collects cadavers and general body parts. (Stormy weather only). It worked with Peter Beardsley?

Re: New Stiker?

I've already found him Chuck.

I don't mind what it is really as long as it scores or helps us to score more goals than we are now. We may then have a chance of winning some of the matches that we have lost or drawn.

Wouldn't be disappointed to see us sign Pawel Abbott from Huddersfield if we had to go down the lower league route.

some strikers from the PFA transfer directory:

Bruce Dyer
Ashley Ward
Chris Armstrong
John Salako
Mike Sheron

-------------
also out of interest there were several ex City players on the transfer list:
Brian Carey, Nicholas Priet, Jamie Lawrence, Gerry Taggart,Danny Thomas,John Curtis,Andy Impey,Martin Keown( listed as a coach), Scot Gemmill,Nikos Dabizas,(we hold the reg still on both of them)

even saw Dions name on there....

also noticed that Norwich's Paul McVeigh is transfer-listed

Is Sheringham still playing? If so do you think he is worth a shot?

Isn't he got coaching/ manager aspirations. That would make him a dangerous acquisition in Leveins situation:102:
