He doesnt need experience in the administration side of the job (books are probably balaced or are ok).

He doesnt need to "wheel and deal" because we aint got money (must cope with existing squad).

Will need the required qualification badges (has Lenny?)

Will need to get some results (something CL couldnt)

Will need the fans support/respect.

Will need to be a good motivator.

I honestly think Lennon would keep us up, especially if backed by Walford/Robertson (both unemployed?).

If Davies goes for experience short term i would hope he considers Lennon for next season, which would probably suit him also.

You're right, but the situation can be remedied now.

Do it now Mr Davies....

This season he will be fine, it should already be sorted, but might need to next year.

again it depends if we go with a pottentially long term sollution.

If Lenny hasn't he could still become the manager as long as he went on the courses required while managing us i believe? (could be wrong)

I think we have the players for it.

Will need the fans support/respect.

Lenny would be perfect

Will need to be a good motivator.

Always does the job on the pitch, and has learned from the master hopefully

i agree

I would prefer Lenny now if he is willing, but if he inisist on seeing the season out with celtic, hopefully he will come after.

Lenny is now my prefered choice, now it seems possible he could come.

The fact that there is a chance is encouraging enough as things currently stand. One side is bang up for it, so its up to the other to be bold enough to make it happen.......now, not in the summer!!!!!

COOL!!!

Come on Tim, You know it makes sense :icon_bigg

Ooooh ya Bobby, !

Lets make it known to the board then, like Bob says lets get the chant going at tomorrows game. Lets hope it doesnt become a damp squib, would be gutted if this does not end up happening.

Would Celtic not have to release him from his contract or we would have to pay them and with Keane being out injured for the next 6 weeks I'd imagine Celtic are going to be reluctant to let him go.
I don't see the hysteria surrounding Lennon what Managerial qualifications does he have?

Lennon would have a passion for the job, and that would rub off hopefully. i would sooner that than get a proven failure.

Its always going to be a risk whoever we get, but i think we need the passion that lennon would provide. and hopefully he has MOs telephone number.

Huge gamble IMO and we aren't in a Position to gamble, last thing we need is to appoint someone now on a 3 year contract and end up sacking them in 6 months or a year.

IMO, anyone we could get is a huge gamble.

Right HF, Dead right. I think the board need to do this properly rather than quickly. We need to get it right rather than get it now. Its been a bit of a rollacoaster since MON went, we need to get the best we can in terms of everything, not just that they were once great former city players. The very last thing we need is to get this appointment wrong.

I think we do need some experience, someone who knows theirn way around English football and knows how to prepare teams capable of fighting their way out of the Championship. Someone who makes the difference. I know we are strapped for cash, but IMO its worth going overdrawn for the right man.

You can always bring in someone like Lennon to learn the trade as an assistant or something. Now is not the time to experiment

Who's that then, Chuck????

I may be the only one who thinks this, but the appointment of Lennon in any capacity would certainly take some (not all or even alot, but certainly some) of the pain away IF we go down. Could just be me, I love the guy!
