Any more news on the managerial front Bob, you seemed pretty certain Lenny was well up for the job this morning, yet throughout the day it appears to be dying a death, I fookin hope he does want it, apart from Cotterill nobody else really sets the pulse racing.

Bob please give me some hope !

Where has all this 'dying a death' stuff come from?

It appears to have been denials today and that he is going to stay with Celtic, but I suppose it could be political. Am I wrongly getting my hopes up of a return by lenny.

The rumour from the Daily Mail, the statement from his agent and the fact that it seems too good to ever happen.

Trust me PFKA, moves ARE afoot - but thats not to say its a done deal. Its still a long way from resolution but I believe its possible, despite whatever sound bites are being churned out by the media.

That is great news, I have now got everything crossed, lets hope it comes off, will be gutted if it doesnt.

I've got everything crossed too.

Despite the fact it appears a 'heart ruling my head' feeling, it still feels right - even more so when I read people saying things like "no experience", "not what we need right now", "remember Frank McLintock".....well b****x to all that : No appointment is guaranteed success, so why not?

Also when these people say no, I acknowledge thier opinions, but no-one has as yet stated who the alternatives are i.e. who would want to come? who could we really attract? (6 managers in 6 seasons...the posioned chalice of MON etc)

Or is it just the old LCFC mentality of having something to grumble about....??

I agree entirely, Taylor, Bassett and Levein were all experienced managers and they didnt enjoy the best of times, to say the least, any appointment is a risk, I understand that people would prefer the "safe hands" of somebody who is a seasoned manager, but surely you are appointing somebody already set in their ways, why not take a gamble and appoint a manager who may just turn out to be the next bright young thing.

At least talk of Lennon has got many of the fans excited, surely an appointment that could unite the club, also surely if Lennon was appointed then he would recieve the full backing of the supporters, who want him to return.

If Lenny were to be appointed Bob, I take it he would be bringing an experienced backroom staff with him ?

Pass...?

The most likely scenario at present would mean Lenny as player-coach, possibly with someone senior in an advisory/head coach role. Whether that would be on a temporary basis, your guess is as good as mine I'm afraid.

Still, a long way to go yet though...........

Sounds the right way to go, lets hope the board and Lenny are brave enough to go with it.

Don't like any of the names mentioned but if I was given a Tenner to have a bet on the next Manager I would put it on Cotterill,18 months of his contract left so won't cost a lot, hardly an exciting choice and not my choice but would seem the most likely if we can wangle some compo package.
